Fishing.....and falling in

A few Saturdays ago, we packed up our vehicle, met some friends, and headed to Lake Peloski for the afternoon.  We had three boats, eleven adults, and seven kids.  I was a little scared at first, but then got on board since the other kids were having so much fun.  We tied our boats together and just hung out swimming, ate snacks and enjoyed the sun.
Throwing a fit, not wanting to
wear my life jacket.  I didn't win the battle :)
I decided it wasn't so bad...boats are cool!
All of the kids on the inter tube....except me
(tantrum time), oops!
Swimming with Daddy
After we had hung out for awhile, we took one of the boats with my friend Brady and his Daddy out to fish for awhile.  I was SO excited because I have never fished before.
Trying out the fishing pole
Our first fish....kind of a small one :)
Our second fish.  I think I smothered him a little, oops.
The highlight of the whole day (or not) was when my friend Brady and I were looking at the fish in the water.  We are great friends, but we also like to fight a bit (what little boy doesn't). We were fighting over who got to see the fish, and just like that, I fell into the lake!  I guess I'm glad Mommy and Daddy made me put that life jacket on!  Mommy was freaking out (and so was I), but Daddy jumped in and rescued me.  Whew, that was a close one.  No more fighting on the boat!

Vikings Game

I got to attend the first pre-season Vikings game of the year, which was my first game ever.  Mommy and Daddy realize that I'm not quite old enough to go yet, but figured a pre-season game would be calm enough so I could go.  I did so good, and had such a fun time.  Since it was a night game, and the game started at my typical bed time (7pm), we all left at half-time.  None-the-less, we all had a great time.  I learned how to do the 'first down' sign with my arm, sing the 'Skol Vikings' song, and cheer (I just took note from the people around me for this one). Our camera ran out of battery right when we walked in, so we only captured a few pictures.

WOW!  It's a football game!

Daddy promised that he will bring me to the games with him when I get older.  I can't wait until I'm old enough to go with him, I love football games!

Carrie on 6K

A few weeks ago, we attended the 2nd annual Carrie On 6K to help remember Carrie Lorman.  She was my daycare provider when I was really little, and we really miss her!  We get to see her smile every day though when we see her beautiful 5-year old daughter Brooklyn.  This year I rode in the stroller while mommy walked the 6K.  Daddy was a volunteer again and he rode the 4-wheeler at the end of the race to make sure everyone finished safely.  I was very well behaved during the entire walk (thanks to a lot of snacks), and I got to ride alongside some of my friends as our mommy's walked.

Mommy and I before the race...ready to go!

Snacks and water, check!  Read to roll!
Off we go!
This year I also got to participate in the Brooklyn's Brigade kiddie run.  We got to run around the church 1 time.  I was a trooper, and even though I was the youngest participant, I completed the race.  Mommy and Daddy were SO proud of me!

Getting tired, but still going strong!
My medal for completing!

Releasing the balloons into heaven for Carrie.
We miss you Carrie!

Elm Creek Park

Mommy discovered the Elm Creek Park this summer, and boy do I LOVE that place.  I was a little overwhelmed at first since the park is so big, but now I know my way around.  We met up many of our friends there this summer, and swam at the 'pool' a lot.  Since it was so hot out most days, we would get up early and head to the pool (really it's a sand-bottom swimming hole, but you get the idea) and swim for a few hours before it got really warm out and busy.
Trying to decide what to do next

I can't wait for next summer so we can go back to this cool park and pool!

Benton County Fair

In July Daddy took me to the Benton County fair.  Mommy wasn't feeling well that day, so Daddy and I met up with Tony at the fair for the morning.  Here are a few highlights from our morning....
Still not a fan of the farm animals....
I don't care for the tractor either...
I guess the clown is okay...
These rides aren't bad....
Okay, I guess I like the fair!
More rides please!
Daddy and I made it to St. Cloud, visited the fair, ate mini doughnuts, and were back home all before nap-time.  What a fun and productive morning!  Next time I hope Mommy feels better and can come with us.

Minnesota Zoo

We headed to the MN Zoo one Saturday, and I thought it was so cool!  I admit, I am scared of a few animals still (especially at the 'farm'), but I am working on getting better.  Here are a few pictures from our day.
Daddy pointing out the animals

Playing peek-a-boo with the chickens

Taking a tractor ride to the 'farm'...I was scared of the ride.

There was also a waterfall area where kids could play.  It was such a hot day that I wanted to go in, but mommy and daddy didn't bring my swimsuit.  Mommy let me go in and play anyway....I think this was my favorite part of my day!
Ending the day with a little ice-cream....Yum-O!

Goodbye Summer!

Okay, okay, I admit I have been spending more time focusing on summer than blogging.....but I have enjoyed every minute!  Here are a few things I have been up to in general the last few months.

We have spent ALOT of time outside this summer.  I am a true boy and don't want to do anything unless it involves being outside.  This has been a little challenging for mommy since she hasn't felt the best with the baby, but her and daddy have done their best to keep me busy.

Love my trike!

Being 'all boy' = a  few scratches...I ran too fast down the driveway, oops!

I also spent a lot of time in the pool this summer.  I would swim all day if mommy and daddy would let me.  Here area  few pictures from my adventures.

Home-made water slide

Enjoying the neighbor's water slide
So much fun!
That's all for now.  I will add some more posts with other adventures from this summer.  I need to catch up before the baby gets here....something tells me that mommy won't have as much time to help me on the computer :)
