Elliot-15 months

I knew that mommy was up to something this morning, because when we got to Shelli's house, she only brought Noah inside.  Maybe I get to spend the day with mommy?  Nope, she tricked me once again....soon I saw that darn doctor's office appear out of my window.  I guess it was time for my 15-month check up with Dr. Paulson.

Clinging closely to mommy
This was the first time that I didn't great the nurse with my famous smile.  I clung on to mommy with a death-grip and had a HUGE tantrum when I got put on the scale (what was that thing?!)  Just when I started to warm up to the nurse and doctor, they stuck me in both legs for my shots.  Next time I'll be smarter.  Here is what we found out:

Weight:24 lbs, 2 ounces (43 percentile)
Height: 31.5 inches (62 percentile)
Head: 18.75 inches (63 percentile)

I look chubby, but actually am quite a little peanut according to the 'charts.'  I guess this gives me the excuse to eat more :)  Overall though, I'm normal.

Updates at 15 months:

1.  I'm sleeping much better now, in fact, I am really starting to LOVE snoozing.  Sometimes mommy and daddy have to wake me up for Shelli's house in the morning.  I go to bed every night around 7pm and wake up about 6:30-7am.  I still take 2 naps, but am starting to wean off my morning nap.

2.  I still like my bottle (shhhh, don't tell Dr. Paulson, mommy didn't share this piece of information with him, and I don't want to get busted).  I have mastered drinking out of a sippy cup, but still enjoy having my milk warmed up in the bottle before I goto bed at night.  No harm in that, right?

3.  I get into EVERYTHING.  I am a very curious little boy, and I don't want to miss out on anything.  Mommy and daddy have to keep most of the doors shut in our house so that I don't get into mischeif.  As soon as they have their guard down though, I run to get in (the pantry is by far my favorite).  I also like the stairs....I could spend hours just going up and down them.

4.  I have started having tantrums (sorry mommy and daddy).  I know what I want, and when I don't get it, I have started throwing myself on the floor and screaming.  Since I am the second child, however, my parents ignore this behavior.  I also have started screaming when Noah takes stuff away from me (I'm smart though, and sometimes scream just to see if Noah gets in trouble).  Typical younger child :)

5.  Overall (other than the behavior mentioned above), I am a HAPPY child.  I smile alot, and love to play games (i.e. peek a boo, chasing games, etc.) and giggle nonspot when playing.  I LOVE to play whatever Noah is playing (cars, crayons, etc.) and learn alot from watching him.

6.  I am starting to babble alot.  But, I'm still not saying any words (Dr. Paulson said that's okay, and I can have 3 more months to work on it)  My parents think I have a lot to say, and once I start talking, I might not stop :)

7.  I can follow directions now (go get your shoes, let's go take a bath, get a book to read) and know where a few of my body parts are (feet, belly, ears).

Here's to learning more and more every day!
