First Broken Bone

Well, it only took 4 years, 2 months and 12 days, and we have our first broken bone! (But who's counting).  Noah was playing on the neighbor's play set one night when he jumped off the slide and fell on his hand.  He complained that it hurt, but like any good parent would do, we told him he was 'fine.'  And he was (or so we thought), so he proceeded to play catch with daddy,  and go over to a friend's house to jump on the trampoline before going to bed.  When he woke up, however, it was a different story.   His arm was swollen, and that's when we knew we had a problem.  A tiny little buckle fracture in his arm, so the pediatrician wrapped it in a temporary splint before we could see the orthopedic doctor that casted it.  6 weeks later,  and his arm is just like new!
What a trooper with his temporary splint
Check it out!
Or course he picked a red cast
All healed up!

Minnesota Zoo

Well, it's time again to get our blog up to date.  We are SUPER behind this time, so we will try to catch everyone up quickly with all of the fun stuff that has been going on over the past few months.  Summer went too fast, but we kept busy and had something to do almost every weekend.  One weekend (we don't remember when anymore since it was so long ago, ha!) we went to the Minnesota Zoo.  This was Elliot's first time going, and he loved it!  Both boys had a great time, despite the hot weather (high 90's).  We took a lot of water and ice cream breaks, and ended the day at the zoo's splash pad to cool off.  Here are a few pictures from our day:

Rockin Rogers Days

One of our favorite weekends came again;  Rockin' Rogers Days (our town's festival).  It was a fun-filled weekend of concerts, carnival rides, snow cones, corn dogs, and a parade.  On Thursday night we attended the carnival with our friends (it was fun except for when Kendyl got hurt on the roller coaster and had to sit in the ambulance for awhile.  Thankfully she was okay).  Then on Friday night we all met at Shelli's house with a babysitter while our parents went out to a surprise birthday party for Addison's daddy then to Johnny Holms.  We had a good time until a storm rolled in...loud thunder and rain.  All of us kids were scared, but stayed safe in the basement with the babysitter.  On Saturday we all slept in a little then went to the parade.  The parade was SUPER long (2.5 hours) so we were all tuckered out when it was over.  What a great weekend, we can't wait for next year!
Excited to be on the roller coaster
